Commonly Lost items in Karaoke

Life can be a lot of juggle, so it’s no wonder we lose things from time to time. In KBOX, we have our fair share of left behinds. Every 12 months or so, we fill up a box and take it down to the charity shop. So we ask KBOX Bar – City, Operation Manager, Mathew Mitchell to give us a list of commonly lost items and recommendations on how to prevent it. Here’s it, straight from someone with direct knowledge:

I have been working at a karaoke bar for 7 years and I have gotten a few phone calls from customers, who have lost something in one of the rooms and asked me to check for their missing items. The most commonly lost items from our customers are as below.

1.House Keys

Our staff have found house keys lying in the karaoke rooms and corridors every weekend. I am really concerned about this problem. How do you get in your house? Where do you sleep after finding out you can’t get in your house? Are you safe?

My recommendations you should do this to help prevent you from losing your keys:

  • Attach your keys to a stylish lanyard or clip them to your pants.
  • Make a spare house key.
  • Register Tile Bluetooth trackers to find your keys

2. Wallet

Our cleaners sometimes find a wallet in the karaoke rooms or in the rest rooms and they inform us as usual. However, if someone else picks up your wallet, they might not return it to our reception desk that is what I am worried about it.

My recommendations you should do this to help prevent you from losing your wallet:

  • Wear a wallet chain.
  • Keep your wallet in your bum bag or bag.
  • Register Tile Bluetooth trackers to find your wallet.

3. Umbrella

We often find umbrellas behind our couches in the karaoke rooms, especially, on rainy days we might find a minimum of 3 umbrellas a week. I understand it can be difficult to keep track of all your belongings when having a few drinks and a lot of fun singing with your friends.

My recommendations you should do this to help prevent you from losing your umbrella:

  • Leave your umbrella in the conner behind the door.
  • Register Tile Bluetooth trackers to find your umbrella.

4.Jacket

We get a new piece of clothing mostly jackets in the karaoke rooms every weekend, especially in winter.       I understand you may be uncomfortable wearing a jacket inside, because it can get a little too warm from dancing and singing, so you have to take it off. I am concerned about this issue, as the weather in Melbourne is unpredictable. Sometimes, it is freezing at night time. It is very easy to get sick.

My recommendations you should do this to help prevent you from losing your jacket:

  • Leave everything you take off in one spot with your friends.
  • Register Tile Bluetooth trackers to find your jacket.

Remark: Please give us a call or email within a few weeks, regarding your forgotten items and every six months, we donate all clothes found to a local charity.

5.Friends

“Please do not forget your friends after the party” Seriously! yes, I do. I remember, I was checking a karaoke room to ensure that there were no customers in the room as we were closed. Suddenly, a woman came to me and asked me “Where is her friends?”. I said Oh! her friends left already. After that she told me that she was in the rest room.

My recommendations you should do this to help prevent you from forgetting your friends:

  • Count the number of your friends before leaving.
  • Check! Check! and Check! everything, especially your friends before leaving the karaoke bar.

I believe all your problems above will be resolved, if you follow my advice.

Thanks Mathew Mitchell, Operation Manager KBOX Bar – City for the tips. Please kindly remember to take all your belongings when leaving KBOX, your karaoke club forever.
